Under UEFA rules, a player who receives two yellow cards will be suspended for one match. If a player is booked four times before the semi-finals, he will be suspended for another match.
Notably, the card accumulation board will be wiped clean after the quarter-finals.
In another development, a referee has just been relieved of his duty at EURO 2024 by UEFA for making a serious mistake in the recent France 1-0 Austria match.
Specifically, Mr. Jesus Gil Manzano was kicked out of EURO 2024 for making a culpable mistake when holding the whistle in France's 1-0 win over Austria, this black-shirted king's only match in Germany.
One of Gil Manzano's most serious errors came in the 35th minute, when he gave France a goal kick after Austria had been awarded a corner kick. Just three minutes later, Austria conceded a goal through Max Wober's own goal.
