Busy competing in Euro 2024, Kylian Mbappe still sued PSG for 100 million euros

According to sources from L'Équipe newspaper, Mbappe has sued PSG to claim the 100 million euros in salary and bonuses that the club intentionally withheld.

Mbappe left PSG to join Real Madrid on a free transfer. This makes the relationship between Mbappe and PSG even more fractured. According to the French press, the striker born in 1998 accused the Paris team of embezzling money.

Specifically, at the beginning of this season, Mbappe was isolated at PSG after resolutely not renewing his contract. To be given the opportunity to play, the French striker agreed to refuse a "loyalty fee" worth 80 million euros.

By February this year, PSG paid this amount to Mbappe. According to L'Equipe, the French team hopes Real Madrid will pay this amount to sign a contract with the 26-year-old star. However, Los Blancos President Florentino Perez showed a tough attitude by not paying any money to PSG.

The head of PSG, Nasser Al Khelaifi, was not satisfied with the decision from Real Madrid. This causes even more disagreement between the leaders of both sides.

Therefore, to "retaliate" against Real Madrid and Mbappe, PSG deliberately "forgot" to pay the April salary and a bonus paid in February. This amount is up to 100 million euros, to offset the fee. they paid Mbappe in advance.

However, the French striker did not accept this move from PSG. According to L'Équipe, the 26-year-old star sued PSG to claim 100 million euros. "The French Professional Football League Association (LFP) stipulates that all French clubs must pay their players' salaries before the last day of the month," L'Équipe newspaper confirmed.

According to L'Équipe, the two sides (Mbappe and PSG) will negotiate together in the near future. If they cannot reach an agreement, they will go to court to resolve it.

Mbappe is focusing with the French team to participate in Euro 2024. This player broke his nose in the match against Austria and could not play in the match against the Netherlands last night. It is likely that this striker will continue to rest in the final match against Poland.
