Accordingly, midfielder Toni Kroos recently admitted that he is using painkillers to compete in EURO 2024.
Specifically, in a recent share with the German press on June 18, the star born in 1990 revealed that he had to use painkillers to compete at this EURO.
“I don't like using muscle tape. But the pain appeared during exercise and got worse, forcing me to use painkillers. Actually this is 98% effective. Muscle taping only helps about 2%. Painkillers and new treatment were the decisive factors that helped me no longer feel difficult when playing", shared Toni Kroos.
In addition, the former Real Madrid player also said that his physical condition has improved but has not reached his peak state. However, Kroos is optimistic that he will be ready to play in the next match, against Hungary on the evening of June 19.
“There are no problems and everything is going well. I'm satisfied with my performance, especially considering what happened," Kroos said.
Kroos once left the German team, but decided to return in March to attend EURO 2024 - the last tournament of this player's football career.
In Germany's recent opening match, midfielder Toni Kroos played extremely impressively, passing accurately 101 times out of 102 passes, reaching a rate of 99%. This is the highest passing accuracy rate at EURO since this statistic was introduced in 1980.
